The Advent season begins this year on December 1st. It is a wonderful part of our church calendar where we prepare our hearts to celebrate and remember the first coming of Christ at Christmas and also grow in our longing for His coming again. It's also a great time to invite friends, family, and neighbors to church to come and see the hope we have in Christ. Here are all the plans we have so that you can mark your calendars.
Our friends from Sovereign Grace Music will be joining us again on December 6th at 7pm for a Prepare Him Room Christmas Concert. This event has become one of our favorite Christmas traditions. It's an evening of songs and stories that celebrate the miracle of God becoming a baby to save us. The event is free and open to the public, but we’ve unfortunately already reached max capacity for this event through reservations.
Our annual “Lessons and Carols” service will be held on December 15th. We'll have a choir and enjoy extended singing and readings from Scripture of Old Testament prophecies and their New Testament fulfillment in Christ! Mark your calendars and invite your friends and family.
On December 22nd, all the kids will be with us for the first part of the meeting to enjoy a children’s choir and a message specifically for them. We’ll take a break before the sermon in order to give time for everyone to take their kids to children’s ministry. We look forward to this special Sunday each year as we uniquely observe the good news of Christ’s birth proclaimed from one generation to another!
On December 24th at 5pm, we will have a one-hour Christmas Eve service, which has become a wonderful tradition for us as a church. We sing carols, are encouraged from God’s Word, light candles, and sing a few more carols. We would love for you to join us as we remember and celebrate the birth of Christ.
